【摘要】:Sulfurpresentasmercaptansorashydrogensulfideindistillatefuelsandsolventscanattackmanymetallicandnon-metallicmaterialsinfuelandotherdistributionsystems.Anegativeresultinthedoctortestensuresthattheconcentrationofthesecompoundsisinsufficienttocausesuchproblemsinnormaluse.1.1Thistestmethodisintendedprimarilyforthedetectionofmercaptansinmotorfuel,kerosine,andsimilarpetroleumproducts.Thismethodmayalsoprovideinformationonhydrogensulfideandelementalsulfurthatmaybepresentinthesesampletypes.1.2ThevaluesstatedinacceptableSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
