【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtoprovideastandardsetofguidelinesthataretobefollowedwhenconductingandreportingoninspectionsofinstalledfirestops.Thispracticeisintendedtoprovideameanstoverifycomplianceoftheinstalledfirestopstotheinspectiondocuments.Thispracticeisnotintendedtoprovideabasisforselectinginstallersorproductsorboth.Thispracticeisnotintendedtoestablishanyperformancecriteriaoftheinspectedfirestops.1.1Thepurposeofthispracticeistoestablishprocedurestoinspectfirestops,includingmethodsforfieldverificationandinspection.1.2Thispracticeaddressesalltypesoffirestopsinstalledthroughorintofireresistiveassemblies.Note18212;FirestopisdefinedinE814.1.3Thispracticeprovidesmethodsbywhichaqualifiedinspectorcanverifythatallrequiredfirestopsonaprojecthavebeeninstalledandthattheirinstallationsareinaccordancewiththeinspectiondocuments.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.
