【摘要】:ThisStandardspecifiestherequirementsandtestmethodsforthecoverage,sizing,adaptabilityandadjustability,restraint,ergonomics,construction,innocuousness,andperformanceunderimpacttobeprovidedbyprotectivejackets,bodyandshoulderprotectorstobewornbychildren,youthsandadultsofeithersexwhileridinghorses,workingwithhorses,drivinghorsesorbeingapassengerinahorsedrivenvehicle.Suchprotectorsareintendedtoprovidesomeprotectionagainstimpactsduetofallsfromhorsesandvehicles,andimpactswhileonthegroundduetoafall,orwhileworkingwithahorse.Impactsmaybeagainstthegroundorobjectssuchastreesorvehicles,orimpactsmaybeduetokicks,beingtroddenonorbeingcrushedbyahorse.TheprotectorscoveredbythisStandardarenotintendedtoprovidecompleteprotectionagainstinjuriesinaccidentsinvolvingseveretorsion,flexion,extensionorcrushingofthebody.Requirementsformarkingandtheprovisionofinformationaregiven.
