【摘要】:Thethermalresistanceofabattingorbatting/fabricsystemisofconsiderableimportanceindeterminingitssuitabilityforuseinfabricatingcoldweatherprotectiveclothing,sleepingbags,andbeddingsystems.Thethermalinterchangebetweenmanandhisenvironmentis,however,anextremelycomplicatedsubjectwhichinvolvesmanyfactorsinadditiontotheinsulationvaluesoffabricsandbattings.Therefore,measuredthermalinsulationvaluescanonlyindicaterelativemeritofaparticularmaterial.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthethermalresistance,understeady-stateconditions,ofbattingsandbatting/fabricsystems,andothermaterialswithinthelimitsspecifiedin1.2.Itmeasurestheheattransferfromawarm,dry,constant-temperature,horizontalflat-plateupthroughalayerofthetestmaterialtoacoolatmosphereandcalculatestheresistanceofthematerial.Themeasurementsaremadeunderstillairconditions(Option1)orwithahorizontalairflowoverthespecimen(Option2).1.2Forpracticalpurposes,thistestmethodislimitedtodeterminationsonspecimensofbattingsandlayeredbatting/fabricassemblieshavinganintrinsicthermalresistancefrom0.1to1.5Kx00B7;m2/Wandthicknessesnotinexcessof50mm.1.3Thistestmethodalsoprovidesamethodfordeterminingthebulkdensityofthematerial,theinsulationperunitthickness,andtheinsulationperunitweight.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcernsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityofwhoeverusesthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
